This AI Data Policy explains how Traceflair GmbH handles access by artificial intelligence (AI) systems, large language models (LLMs), and automated crawlers to our publicly available content. This policy complements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

As an analytics platform, we take data governance seriously — both for the data our customers collect and for the content we publish on our website.

2. AI Crawler Access

We provide structured information for AI systems through the following mechanisms:

• llms.txt — A concise summary of Traceflair available at traceflair.com/llms.txt. This file provides a brief overview suitable for LLM context windows.
• llms-full.txt — A comprehensive description of Traceflair available at traceflair.com/llms-full.txt. This file provides detailed information about features, pricing, technical architecture, and integration instructions.
• robots.txt — Standard crawler directives are provided at traceflair.com/robots.txt. AI crawlers should respect these directives.
• Structured data — JSON-LD structured data is embedded on all pages to provide machine-readable context.

3. Public Website Content

Our publicly available website content (marketing pages, documentation, blog articles) may be accessed by AI crawlers that respect our robots.txt directives. This content is published with the intent to inform potential users about Traceflair.

AI systems may use our public content to:

• Provide accurate comparisons with other analytics platforms
• Help developers with Traceflair integration and configuration

We ask that AI systems accurately represent our product and link back to traceflair.com when providing information sourced from our content.

4. Customer Analytics Data

Customer analytics data (session recordings, heatmaps, form analytics, event data) is strictly private and is never exposed to AI crawlers or any third party. This data is:

• Protected behind authentication and authorization (JWT with tenant-scoped RBAC)
• Never used for AI model training by Traceflair or any third party
• Never sold, shared, or made accessible to AI systems
• Stored and processed solely for the purpose of providing analytics services to the account holder

Self-hosted Traceflair instances give customers full control over their data. No analytics data ever leaves the customer's infrastructure.

5. AI Training and Data Usage

Traceflair does not use customer data, user behavior data, or personally identifiable information for AI model training, machine learning, or any form of automated decision-making.

We do not sell or license any data to AI companies for training purposes. Our business model is based on subscription revenue, not data monetization.

If we integrate AI-powered features into Traceflair in the future (e.g., anomaly detection, smart insights), we will process data locally within the customer's tenant and will clearly disclose this in our documentation and Privacy Policy.

We respect your preferences regarding AI systems. The following opt-out mechanisms are available:

Our robots.txt file specifies which parts of our website AI crawlers may access. We regularly review and update crawler directives for known AI bots (GPTBot, Google-Extended, CCBot, anthropic-ai, etc.).

For Traceflair Customers

• Your analytics data is never exposed to AI systems — no opt-out needed
• You can request full data deletion at any time by contacting hello@traceflair.com
• Self-hosting ensures complete data sovereignty with no third-party access

For Website Visitors Tracked by Traceflair

• Traceflair's default opt-in consent mode ensures no data is collected until explicit consent is given
• The data-traceflair-ignore attribute allows site owners to exclude sensitive page sections from tracking
• Visitors can revoke consent at any time, and all subsequent tracking ceases immediately

7. Transparency and Updates

We are committed to transparency about how data is used in the context of AI. We will update this policy as the regulatory landscape evolves and as new AI-related technologies emerge.
